The 2024 season was a roller coaster ride for the Alpha Tauri F1 team. They had a disappointing start to the season but managed to recover the damage after the second half of the season. At the start of the season, Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries were the main drivers of the team. But due to inconsistent performances, Daniel Ricciardo replaced Nyck de Vries on the team. Later, Ricciardo went through a hand injury, and the team brought in Liam Lawson as a replacement. The Alpha Tauri F1 team was looking good at the start of the season, as both youngsters, Tsunoda and de Vries, were driving the car. Tsunoda gave a promising start for the team, as he consistently finished between 10th and 11th. But the team went pointless until the Belgian Grand Prix.
By the time, Nick de Vries was struggling with the car, and Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo replaced him. The 2024 Belgian Grand Prix was one of the best races for Yuki, as he finished 10th and was just 1 second behind Lance Stroll.
Later, Daniel Ricciardo injured his hand, and Laim Lawson replaced him on the team. The young driver impressed everyone with his great race pace and raised some doubts about the Alpha Tauri seat. He managed to score two points for the team, which proved to be quite important points for them. Finally, Ricciardo was back and replaced Lawson on the team.
The best Grand Prix for Alpha Tauri was the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix when Ricciardo finished 7th and scored 6 points for the team. This was also the best finish for the team in the 2024 season. Finally, at the last race of the season, Yuki Tsunoda finished 8th and helped them finish 8th in the constructors’ championship.
