The English football club Liverpool is currently one of the best clubs in the world. They have lost only one Premier League game this season and are standing at the top. Not just the Premier League but also the Europa League. The credit goes to the manager and the players. The Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez is one of the players who has stepped up for the team, and without him, the playing 11 looks incomplete.
Even though he has failed several times, he has also managed to balance it out in the upcoming games. Looking at the young striker, former German footballer Dietmar Harmann praised him and said:
“Darwin Nunez can be the best player in the world!”
Here is the complete statement:
“If he could finish, Darwin Nunez could be the best player in the world. He is fast, physical, and has everything bar finishing. If you don’t finish or score, you will get a problem, but sometimes I think he is never going to learn to, and then I think he needs more time! At the moment, he scores the difficult chances and misses the easy ones.”
Well, finishing has been one of the main weaknesses of Nunez. He has missed the chance to score goals on several occasions. He has been inconsistent in scoring but has created much pressure on the opponent’s defense, which has created chances for the club to score.
Darwin Nunez is playing his second Premier League season and will improve as he gains experience. Here are his stats and record for Liverpool.
