France’s star defender Raphael Varane is ready to return to action for France’s FIFA World Cup 2022 match against Denmark after missing more than a month due to a leg injury, according to coach Didier Deschamps.ย
Varane was left out of France‘s 4-1 win over Australia in Group D due to fitness issues. But Deschamps said he was fit to play before that game and could play at the 974 Stadium on Saturday.
FIFA World Cup 2022: What did Didier Deschamps say?
โHe could have played, he was ready, he was fit. We discussed it with him,โ Deschamps told reporters.

Good news for France as they heavily relied on Varane as he is a key player for the French side.ย

Captain Hugo Lloris also added a few words of his own: โItโs a different competition, but it gives you an idea of the Danish team, they are excellent and capable of beating the best,โ said Lloris.
