A Grand Slam title is what every tennis player dreams of winning. Every year, there are four Grand Slam tournaments, i.e., the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. Well, Czech professional tennis player Karolina Muchova is set to miss one of them. Muchova hasn’t fully recovered from her wrist injury and will miss the Australian Open 2024.
Karolina Muchova pindowns an emotional message for her fans:
“See you in 2025, @australianopen.”
She was the 2021 Australian Open semi-finalist but lost to Jennifer Brady and missed out on her first Australian Open final appearance and title. Since then, she hasn’t achieved the same result and will miss the Australian Open 2024.
Muchova is currently the WTA World Number 8-ranked player, and missing out on the tournament will hurt her greatly. Moreover, she likes to play on hard courts and has won her only title at the Korea Open. For your information, the Korea Open is a WTA 250-tier tournament and is played on a hard surface.
