Sthalekar was born on August 13, 1979 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She was adopted by Indian-English couples. They wanted to adopt a boy as their child, but Sue was attracted to the little girl. Lisa’s former name was Laila, which was changed by her new family. Sthalekar and her family moved to Keniya and later Sydney because of her father’s missionary work. Sthalekar studied in Cherrybrook Public school and Cherrybrook Technology High school. She is a graduate from Sydney University in Psychology and religious studies.
Sthalekar started her career as a cricketer in 1997. She has bagged many achievements as an all-rounder for the team. Currently, Haren is a cricket commentator. She is also best known for her IPL commentary.
