"Dreams do come true," tweeted Dinesh Karthik shortly after he was named in Indian WC 2022 squad..

DK made his international debut back in 2004 but was not able to cement his place in the side.

He was tried as the test opener as well but couldn't do justice to the chance given to him..

He was always around the squad and kept performing well in the domestic games. He was the Man of the Match in India's First T20I.

He always played in the shadow of MS Dhoni. Now when MS is retired he made his comeback at the age of 37.

At the starting of IPL 2022 he commented that he want to play 2022 WC for India and after IPL 2022 he made his comeback in the Squad

Now he and Rohit Sharma are the only players in the squad to play both 2007 and 2022 world cup.
